Information for Applicants

The ABHP grants professional certification in the field of Health Physics.

Certification is granted based on a combination of academic credentials, experience, references, and two examinations (Part I and Part II).

Applications must be submitted online (https://app.prolydian.com/applicants/abhpportal?). Application materials are due by January 15 for the exams given in that year. Both examinations are normally given annually coinciding with the Annual Meeting of the Health Physics Society.

Starting with the 2018 exam, The Part 1 exam will be administered through testing centers rather than at the HPS Annual Meeting site. Further, it will be administered during the week prior to the HPS Meeting rather than coinciding with the meeting. All confirmed candidates for Part 1 will be contacted by the Secretariat with details on test administration.
